Vic: Pigeon fight sees feathers fly

Police in Melbourne say five people have ended up in hospital .. and four others were
treated for minor injuries .. after a brawl over a bird .. the feathered kind.

They say they're questioning nine people over the incident at Roxburgh Park in Melbourne's
north today.

It's alleged a fight broke out between two neighbouring families .. over ownership of a pigeon.

Four men have been taken to the Northern Hospital and another to Royal Melbourne ..

all in stable conditions.

Police investigations are continuing into the incident.
