Police spring clampdown on under-age drinkers

Police in Street have seized more than 40 cans and bottles ofalcohol from under-age drinkers during a spring crackdown.

Officers in Street made the seizures over two weekends, inresponse to residents' concerns about anti-social behaviour andcriminal damage.

The aim of the initiative was also to protect those that werevulnerable through alcohol consumption.

Officers seized alcohol from the under-age drinkers theyencountered and have been liaising with schools and parents toaddress the issue in the long-term.
