Qld: British man jailed after threatening Qantas flight

BRISBANE, Jan 2 AAP - A 21-year-old British tourist was sentenced to three months jailtoday after he drunkenly threatened to hijack a Qantas flight in Cairns.
Thomas James Lilico, a British citizen on a temporary working visa, appeared in theCairns Magistrates Court today charged with threatening an aircraft under the FederalCrime (Aviation) Act.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three months in jail, suspended after one month.
An Australian Federal Police spokesman said Australian Protective Service officerswere called to Qantas Flight 800 at Cairns …
